September is National Library Card Sign-up Month.
Visit
your library today; it is a hub of community activity!
In tough economic times, a
library card gives you free access to books and computers, a place to create your resume
and do a job search, checkout or download music, movies, magazines,
and much more.
*Free bookmarks will be given away at
all Fort Smith Public Library locations during September!
All children who sign up for their
first library card
will receive a free paperback book,
provided by the Friends of the Library.
Library cards are available free of charge to Fort Smith city residents
age five and older.
A parent or legal guardian must apply in person for
children ages 5-15.
Please bring identification with current street
address, such as a driver’s license, bank check, or utility bill.
For
more information, call the main library at 783-0229.
