I first read “The Black Stallion” in High School. It captured my
attention because it had all sorts of adventures that were exciting to read about . . .like a shipwreck and being stranded on a deserted island. It took a lot of dedication from Alec to
overcome all of the challenges in this book. I learned from this story that a person can accomplish anything as long as they keep
after it day after day.
