Flashback Friday!

I first read “The Black Stallion” in High School. It captured my attention because it had all sorts of adventures that were exciting to read about . . .like a shipwreck and being stranded on a deserted island. It took a lot of dedication from Alec to overcome all of the challenges in this book. I learned from this story that a person can accomplish anything as long as they keep after it day after day.

~ Get Swept Away with this good read!

“First published in 1941, Walter Farley's best-selling novel for young readers is the triumphant tale of a boy and a wild horse. From Alec Ramsay and the Black's first meeting on an ill-fated ship to their adventures on a desert island and their eventual rescue, this beloved story will hold the rapt attention of readers new and old.

*This great book is located in our Juvenile Fiction Section under the author’s last name, Farley.
