Reading make you thirsty/hungry? Try Dewey's Cafe inside the Library at 3201 Rogers Avenue!

*A good book and a nice, hot cup of coffee have always made great companions.

Come to the Fort Smith Public Library for a chance to discover this truth for yourself at our very own
Dewey's Café!
In addition to an extended list of specialty coffees (Café Au Lait, Mocha, Cappuccino, Latte, etc.), Dewey's serves other delicious beverages: teas (many flavors served hot and cold), chai, juices, sodas, milk, hot chocolate, ices, and smoothies. If you'd like to have a bite to eat, Dewey's serves delicious snacks (cookies, scones, bagels, parfaits, fruit cups, and veggie cups, and more), various salads, and sandwiches, including Daily Sandwich Specials! For more information, check out our

Menus are changed quarterly with different specialty drinks every month!
While relaxing with a book and a nosh, you can check your email (we have WiFi!), watch the news on TV, or participate in one of many FSPL programs happening in the café. We have had Poetry Slams, Mic Nights, Wii games, cooking classes, chess tournaments, music programs (classical guitar and jazz ensemble), clowns, and many other fun activities.

The Fort Smith Public Library opened Dewey's Café, a long-time hope of library customers, staff, and board, in April of 2010. A coffee shop in the original plan for the new FSPL Main Library building in 2001 was one of several features cut to save construction costs. Originally a joint venture with Sweet Bay Coffee, Dewey's Café has been managed "in-house" by library staff since February, 2011, and is backed by the Fort Smith Public Library Endowment Trust.

Dewey's Café is open for business and is a great spot to meet your friends for lunch or a latté, surf the web, play bridge or mah-jongg, watch the news on the big screen TV, or just READ! Come join us soon! If you would like to hear more about our specials and our events, check us out on Facebook...
