September is National Library Card Sign-up Month. Visit your library today; it is a hub of community activity! In tough economic times, a library card gives you free access to books and computers, a place to create your resume and do a job search, checkout or download music, movies, magazines, and much more. If you don't have a library card, this is the perfect time to apply. If you do have one, come and see what your library card can do! Free bookmarks will be given away at all Fort Smith Public Library locations during September! All children who sign up for their first library card will receive a free paperback book provided by the Friends of the Library.
Library cards are available free of charge to Fort Smith city residents age five and older. A parent or legal guardian must apply in person for children ages 5-15. Please bring identification with current street address, such as a driver's license, bank check, or utility bill. Come check out your neighborhood library today!
