Come to the Fort Smith Public Library website to access a NEW way to learn another language...the FUN WAY! With Mango, our new online service, you can learn to speak 40 different languages (and English from 15 languages) through conversation -- listening and speaking, with pronunciation assistance! Learn things you'll actually put to use in your new language...with insight into how things are said differently in other languages and with memory building exercises to retain new words and phrases. Did You Know?

FSPL Offers a NEW FREE Music Download Service: FREEGAL

So, WHAT is Freegal? Freegal (which stands for "free" + "legal") is a downloadable music service that works with your FSPL library card.

Freegal offers hundreds of thousands of songs from over 100 genres of music and many record labels from the Sony Music Entertainment catalog -- all without any digital rights management (DRM) issues to deal with or any special software required! (If you prefer, however, you may download the Freegal App for your iPhone/iPod/iPad devices or Android phone.)

You are limited to 3 songs per week -- Freegal's download week begins at 11:00 p.m. on Sunday night when your downloads available counter is reset.

Access to Freegal is limited to Fort Smith Public Library cardholders with accounts in good standing (current address with fines under $2.00 and no overdue materials).

Brittney Cole - Our New Teen Book Club Adviser!

Meet The
Teen Book Club Adviser
Brittney Cole!
Some of her responsibilities as teen adviser will be to help library staff with regular book club meetings, generate fun club program ideas, invite new members, and to listen to and help the club members with book discussions and reading selections.

Brittney has been a member of the Teen and Tween Book Lover’s Book Club since it first began at the Fort Smith Public Library on Rogers Ave. Not only is she an avid reader, writer, photographer and graphic designer -- she is also a teen – which makes her perfect for the job.  A natural leader, who is full of great book inspired ideas, Brittney is also a regular volunteer in our Youth Services Department.

*Congratulations for being selected as Teen Book Club Adviser!
